December Newsletter
December Newsletter!
Merry Christmas
Hello to all our parents, guardians, grandparents and friends,
This is our last newsletter for the year, and we would like to start by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, and to thank you all for your support over the past year. It has been a year of many changes, and we look forward to next year being more stable and settled for the children. Next year, we hope that we will be able to have each of our staff working five days per week, with set hours, and be in their own room most of the time (except holidays/sick leave etc).
Breakup Party – please remember our end of year break-up will be this Friday, from 9.00 am. Families are welcome. Morning tea provided. Santa will be here with gifts for the children!. (Older siblings are welcome to attend, but presents will only be handed out to Country Kids children). Please supervise your children if this is not your booked in day.
Miss Melinda - Miss Melinda has now started working in the Pre-School room as our NEW Kindergarten Teacher, and is working hard to get to know all the children and their parents, please introduce yourselves to her if you have not already met.
Transitioning - after Christmas, we will begin transitioning the children up into their new rooms. If you are unsure as to whether your child is ready to move up, please do not hesitate to talk to us, we are always willing to discuss any concerns you may have. Please also feel free to talk to the Group Leaders if you would like to discuss any matters about your child - this will give you a chance to get to know the Group Leaders, and also for the Group Leaders to learn more about your child. Not all children will be transitioning - the children who aren’t at the appropriate age will transition throughout next year.
Scrapbooks - if you would like us to keep a record of your child’s special artwork in a book for you to take home at the end of the year, could you please provide us with a scrapbook for the start of next year.
Christmas – if possible, could we please encourage parents to pick up their children mid-afternoon on Christmas Eve. This is so that our hard working staff can hopefully leave a little earlier to be home with their families. Thank you - we appreciate your co-operation!!
Immunisations - just a quick reminder that we need to be updated with your child’s latest immunisation details.
Meetings - you are always invited & welcome to attend our bi-monthly staff meetings. They are held on the first Tuesday of every second month (next meeting February 2011) at 6.00 pm and the first half of our meetings gives parents a chance to talk about anything that you may wish to discuss.
Please also remember that if your child does not attend the Centre on their booked-in days, these days are still payable. Public holidays are also still payable days.
Thank you, until next time, goodbye from Mel, Brian & all the team at Country Kids !!
